Monthly crafting circle for women in a beautiful yurt on the Derbyshire/ Nottinghamshire border.
Join us for a gentle evening using natural craft supplies & simple techniques in Clowne, Derbyshire.
Crafting opens the door for us to reconnect with our creativity, our community and the ways of our ancestors. Using your hands, limited tools and the gifts of nature 13 of us will gather once a month to engage with clay, wood, pigment, wool, stone and other gifts from nature.
There will be a suggested projects(s) for you to try, or you can totally go your own way. You can bring found items like feathers, stones and bones to add to your makes but Claire will provide all the supplies you need.
If you are looking for a sacred place to gather with others, slow down, learn new skills, listen to medicine songs, sip herbal tea and allow your creativity to emerge then this is for you!

FAQs
There is free parking on Cliff Hill lay-bys just before the entrance to John St (which is actually a lane). There is sometimes space for 1 or 2 cars down by the house however only use these is you have limited mobility. Also note that the lane is VERY bumpy and unsuitable for low cars. Please park considerately and leave room for others.
Where can I park?
It is a short walk down the uneven lane to get to the yurt & back up to your car. The Yurt has 4 steps to enter & the toilet is up a full flight of stairs inside the main house. We will be seated on the floor of the yurt (cushions and yoga bolsters are available for the session. Movement breaks will be encouraged and a chair can be brought into the yurt on request if you need that.
Is the Yurt accessible?
Is this a women’s only circle?
Yes, women and trans women are welcome in this space.
Can I bring my children?
This event is for adults over 18. Breastfeeding babes in arms are welcome, but please note that since we are crafting there will be supplies, scissors etc on the floor which may be unsafe for crawling/ toddling children. Please speak to the event organiser to discuss prior to booking your ticket.
